Soot damage on a table, Wapello,IA

SERVPRO of Burlington was called to a home that had experienced a fire due to their furnace malfunctioning. This in turn caused significant smoke and soot damage throughout the home. This table was one of the items removed from the home and brought back to our shop to restore it back to normal. Our professional technician started out using a degreaser product as this soot contained some grease. Since this table was heavily damaged with soot it required us to use a stronger cleaning product along with a brillo-type pad to help scrub the remaining soot off of the table. Sometimes a multiple step process is needed to ensure all the soot gets removed.
